OPPO's new flagship smartphone N3 delivers superior voice quality from NXP Software
29 Oct 2014

NXP Software B.V. today announces that handset manufacturer OPPO has integrated LifeVibesTM VoiceExperience audio enhancement solution into its latest N3 smartphone.

The OPPO brand of high-specification Android smartphones is highly regarded with customers in North America, Europe and Asia. Now its new N3 model features the latest VoiceExperience 4.5 audio quality differentiation from NXP Software.

"Adding VoiceExperience to our new handset has pushed the limits of what we can achieve for our customers in terms of voice call quality, including for Voice over IP calls which are becoming more and more popular with our customers," said Leon Lau, OPPO's Sourcing Director.

Nicolas Sauvage, Sales Director of NXP Software's OEM Business Line, added: "We customized the VoiceExperience software to match the superior characteristics of OPPO's latest smartphone and take full advantage of the Qualcomm Hexagon DSP on the 8974 platform. The result is clear, rich conversations in normal and hands-free mode, automatic background noise suppression to filter out city and office noises, seamless echo cancellation and our fullband technology to handle VoIP calls without the MIPS increase traditionally seen. We also innovated iteratively with Oppo on enhancing the audio with the novel auto-rotating camera feature."

LifeVibes VoiceExperience 4.5 enhances the audio quality of circuit switched and VoIP calls, including Skype, WeChat and QQ networks. It also enhances voice recognition and voice recording applications.

Since entering the handset market in 2008, OPPO has earned a reputation for developing high quality, innovative smartphones. The OPPO N3, launched as the world's first and most revolutionary automatic rotating Camera Smartphone, is also powered by VoiceExperience.
